What to Expect with Sculptra Injections
Preparing for Your Sculptra Treatment
To ensure the best possible results from your Sculptra treatment, we recommend avoiding alcohol and blood-thinning medications before your appointment. It's also important to arrive with clean, breakout-free skin. Please inform our nurse if you have any medication allergies or have experienced reactions to similar treatments.
During Your Sculptra Session
We’ll discuss your treatment goals and ensure you understand what Sculptra can achieve. Your injector will mix the product and clean the injection sites. Using a series of injections, your provider will distribute Sculptra into your treatment areas.
Because Sculptra is mixed with sterile saline or water and lidocaine, you will likely be numb for a time after your injections and feel like you have puffiness in your treatment areas. The additional volume will be absorbed by your body within 24-48 hours.
After Your Sculptra Treatment
After your treatment, your provider will teach you how to massage the injected areas. You’ll need to massage those areas for 5 minutes 5 times a day for the next 5 days to ensure optimal results.
